Abstract
Assessment of "Unknown" Natural Sources of Atmospheric Emissions A contribution to subproject GENEMIS W Winiwarter Austrian Research Centers, A-2444 Seibersdorf, Austria Background Emission inventories for Europe have been improved considerably over the past couple of years. Nonetheless for a number of sources information is sparse and uncertainty considerable. Among the sources that have not yet been covered adequately are emissions from natural sources. In an attempt to improve response to the international reporting requirements of the EEA (European Environment Agency) and EMEP (European Monitoring and Evaluation Programme), a guidebook of emission inventories has been created (http://www.eea.dk/aegb).
