Abstract
In the present study the experimental loading of total nitrogen and phosphorus flowing into a coastal lagoon, located in the Midwest of Sardinia, was estimated. Parallely a theoretical evaluation of the same loading was carried out. The chemical and flow data, necessary for the experimental survey, were collected for one year in strategic points chosen in the two main tributaries of the pond. In these points, time and flow programmable automatic samplers connected to flow loggers were installed permanently. The theoretical evaluation was carried out using specific export coefficients and the obtained values were compared with the experimental ones in order to establish
