Abstract

In 1995 the European Environment Agency (EEA) commissioned the development of a guide on Cleaner Production (CP). This guide was one of the seven projects on environmental management systems and tools for the EEA and its audience of decision-makers. The aim was to identify relevant information sources on CP and to use appropriate dissemination channels to reach potential users (e.g. industry, local authorities). KINT-IRGT (Royal Institute for the Sustainable Management of Resources and the Promotion of Clean Technology) and VITO (Flemish Institute for Technological Research) have jointly developed the CP-guide and its database.
