Abstract
The basic characteristic of parking in Belgrade is the disproportion between the existing and the necessary areas for leaving motor vehicles. The city is in the early phase of tertiary activities, which means that in the next period this disproportion can only be enlarged. For this reason the regular parking areas consist of only a portion of all the areas where parking really takes place so that the large part of the need for parking is realized in a chaotic, irregular manner.
