Abstract

Ozone observations at elevated rural areas have been examined to investigate the behaviour of ozone layers aloft. Measurements were carried on during summer period 1994-95 in the Pre- Alpine and Alpine regions of the western Alps between Italy and Switzerland. The main objectives are 1) to understand how much the aloft ozone measurements differ at similar altitudes in sites hundreds of kilometers far away; 2) to identify how many different ozone daily patterns at various altitudes occur during the summer period and how their similarity can be quant
