Abstract
A DOAS campaign on a 6 km path in Brasimone(BO) was jointly carried out by CNR and ENEA from March to September 1996, using a GASCOD original instrumentation. Results of Os, NO:, SO: and HNO] measurements are summarized, along with gamma-spectroscopy determinations of radioactive tracers used to identify air mass exchange processes. The GASCOD apparatus performed very satisfactorily, displaying its potentialities for large area measurements of very low concentration pollutants. The Brasimone site confirmed its good characteristics as a possible "zero-point" station for the determination of natural background pollution levels. 1) Introduction The significant measurements of tropospheric ozone and other trace gases performed in the Brasimone Research Center of ENEA (at 44.11°N, 11.1
