Abstract
We present a simple stochastic model for the advection-diffusion equation of air pollution in the atmosphere. The main characteristic of the model is to consider the effect of the wind fluctuations . on the pollutant concentration. We solve the stochastic differential equation for the pollutant concentration, which is a stochastic process as a consequence of the wind fluctuations. We obtain, despite of its simplicity, the exact steady state solution in the case of neutral atmosphere and functional forms of the mean concentration for different laws of the diffusion coefficient. 1 Introduction
