Abstract

This paper deals with a three-dimensional mathematical model to ana- lyze salinity intrusion of the partially mixing type in an estuarine river. Limitations of the vertically two-dimensional model are discussed. The finite-difference numerical procedures of the three-dimensional model are presented in detail, considering the How characteristics in the estuarine river.
