Abstract
Statistical investigations and trend analysis of imission and wet deposition time series in East Germany W. Kuchler, S. Conradt Saxony State Department of Environment and Geology, D-01436 Radebeul, Germany ABSTRACT The methodology and some important results of statistical investigations of long term series for SO], Og and precipitation chemistry within the last decades in the German parts of the so called Black Triangle are outlined. Preliminary studies dealt with different possibilities for substituting missing values. Different methods for estimating the long term trend of these components were applied and examined if they are suitable. The model results indicated that transformations of the time series are mostly essential and that the two most suitable models are very similar in trend identification. The best results for monthly mean concentrations of ozone have been obtained by using a SARIMA (1, 0, 1) x (0, 1, 1)^ - model. The acidity of rainfall in Saxonia has inc
