Abstract
Local emission estimations are often needed to meet local environmental objectives and recently there has been considerable interest in methods for estimating emissions of CC^ from local areas. Estimates of emission can be made by taking a "top down" approach. The "top down" method uses a per capita pro rota approach and a number of source categories to provide a representation of activities within a region. This method provides a good indication of local emission magnitudes and characteristics, whilst being a relatively simple and inexpensive method. Introduction Carbon dioxide, the most significant anthropogenic greenhouse gas, is increasing rapidly in the atmosphere as a direct result of fo
