Abstract
Technical studies for the design of marinas should follow a specific methodology. Studies are carried out by Engineers experienced in a wide range of environmental coastal and maritime processes. The initial gathering of information on site and from desk studies in an important key to correct concept analysis. Study progress must allow structured Client decisions. Eventual choice of a preferred solution leading to its preliminary and detailed designs. 1 Introduction The technical studies required for the eventual construction of a marina should follow a specific methodology which can be summarised succinctly in the appended flow chart.
