Abstract
Site distribution analysis of Spanish Mediterranean marinas V. Esteban Laboratorio Puertos y Costas, Universidad Politecnica, Camino de Vera, 46022 Valencia, Spain ABSTRACT The paper focuses on the study of the existing marinas in the Spanish Mediterranean area. A general assessment of their characteristics and performance is given. The general aim of the study is to relate marina development success in this area to physical, financial and economic conditions, and to the proximity of tourist resorts, and to other considerations, and to conclude with a determination of the main variables for site selection. 1.INTRODUCTION Site selection is one of the most important considerations during feasibility studies of a marina project.
