Abstract
Mathematical models have been analyzed and studied to verify the thermal behaviour of medium voltage cables, subject to intermittent load cycles. A laboratory has been equipped for Electrical and thermal measures on cables, the goal was to identify the parameters of the model. An approach based on the analogy between the electric and thermal fields, has been chosen.
