Shimamura* "Signalling Laboratory, Railway Technical Research Institute, Tokyo, Japan Japan Railway Construction Public Corporation, Tokyo, Japan ABSTRACT This Computer Aided Signalling Blocks Arrangement System has been developed for the purpose of getting the signalling blocks arrangement which satisfies the required train headway on newly projected Shinkansen lines. It is possible under this system that operator without adequate knowledge about signalling and driving can get good arrangement of signalling blocks in a short time. This system uses SPEEDY system [1] ( Train Performance Computation System ) when produces the train performance diagram.
