Roukounis Department of Civil Engineering, Democritus University of Thrace, Greece Abstract In this paper the PROMETHEE methods and the GAIA visual modeling technique are used in order to evaluate priorities for twenty land transportation infrastructure projects provided with the highest budget in the Eastern Macedonia and Thrace Region. This evaluation is in accordance with the region's development objectives as they determined by the Regional Operation Programme 2000-2006 and the 3rd Community Support Framework.
