Abstract

The authors develop a dynamic model that allows to simulate the circulation of a vehicle on the switches of a determined turnout, analyzing the behavior of its forward bogie. With stating model has been simulated the behavior ofthe^ VE/TG V Atlantique, at different speeds and on several types of tangent turnouts with circular deviation. Starting from the results obtained from these simulations, it is proposed to solve the problem of the wheel flange-straight tongue rail by means of a superficial mechanization of the running surface of the straight stock rail, specific for every switch. 1. Introduction When a leading axle takes the switches of a turnout, going acr
