Abstract
Revolution ushers in the next generation of re-locatable structures with synthetic membrane covers. The tri-dimensional aluminium roof frame consists of several basic 5m x 5m modules. These modules are the key to the four-dimensional modularity of Revolution, (width, length, and height, and also snow and wind resistance). Each basic module consists of two parallel beams which are linked by two adjustable roof beams. The diagonal bars span from the latter to form a pyramid-shaped module. A synthetic membrane cover with a double curve is subtended in the interior. The longitudinal edges of this cover are fitted with a rod which slides into the grooved section of both beams. The same section has a linking part which fits into each end to attach the diagonals and the adjustable roof beams. A third beam, which accommodates this linking part at each end, links the top of each b
