Abstract

As part of the development of a hydrodynamic model of a natural water body, spot depths must be assigned to all nodes of the computational mesh. This paper presents the results of a comparative study of three basic techniques, offered by Thompson & Johnson*, for interpolating between scattered surveyed depth points onto a two- dimensional grid.
