Abstract
The dynamic behaviour of large diameter bored piles has been analysed in this paper by means of in situ small-strain vibration testing. Mechanical admittance for both the horizontal and the vertical directions have been measured for more than 200 free-head piles, with diameters <|> 1000mm and (j> 1200mm and length 28m, built in the alluvial clay deposit of the Piana of Catania. Impedance parameters of the single pile have been derived from mechanical admittance test results and then compared with those presented in the literature for the elastic single pile. 1 Introduction The dynamic behaviour of singleKeywords
