Abstract

The dynamic behaviour of large diameter bored piles has been analysed in this paper by means of in situ small-strain vibration testing. Mechanical admittance for both the horizontal and the vertical directions have been measured for more than 200 free-head piles, with diameters <|> 1000mm and (j> 1200mm and length 28m, built in the alluvial clay deposit of the Piana of Catania.
