Abstract
An initially isotropic and undamaged quartzite was submitted to spherical divergent shock-wave experiments. Macroscopic and microscopic examination of the recovered samples enabled compaction and fracturation to be quantified. The ARMOR behaviour model was adjusted using a series of triaxial tests and plate impact tests. The model thus defined was used to reproduce the spherical divergent tests macroscopically.
