Abstract
The paper deals with the response analysis of interaction of a gaseous shock wave and a glass plate structure with particular reference to the character of the excitation wave and the material characteristics of the structure. The goal of this analysis is the formulation of a hypothesis of failure of window glass structures. In order to determine the criteria of the glass structure assessment an analysis of influence of the parameters of the loading pulse on the character of response (magnitude and time function) for the given load type was made (equivalent static analysis under simplified assumptions in comparison with detailed 3D dynamic analysis, alterna- tively).
