Abstract
The proposed model simulates wave propagation by means of strips. Each strip is formed by the displacement of a segment of wave front with a width relative to the size of the semiwavelength at that point. This front is defined by a certain number of aligned points separated by a distance related to the width of the mesh cell that defines the sea bottom, and advances by steps of the same relative size as the separation. Wave speed is calculated at each point of the segment or front, creating a regression line of the displacement of the wave at each point of the front: this line defines the distance and turning angle of the following front. Surprisingly these hypotheses give results equal to the SnelTs law. The model is now- ready to work with these hypotheses giving approximate solutio
