Abstract
Seismic site-dependent response spectra for building codes: a proposal A.C. Heidebrecht", A. The proposed spectra are a variant of a recently proposed foundation factor F* [6]. This factor depends on the ratio of the natural vibration period of the structure to the predominant period at the site. However, site periods are not usually available for low and mid rise buildings. Therefore, the main feature of the new design spectra is that they are not explicit functions of the site period. The proposed spectra relate to four new classes of soil dep
