Abstract
Experimental method for multi-cylinder compressor massive foundations vibration analysis T. G. Cioara, T. Gligor, L. Bereteu, D. Dragomir Vibration Testing and Research Laboratory, Technical University of Timisoara, Romania ABSTRACT The paper presents an experimental method for vibration analysis of a heavy ensemble machine-foundation: a multi-cylinder compressor fixed to a massive rigid block concrete foundation supported on a gravel ballast layer pad. Using a complex measurement of the vibration motions in a significant number of points along to ensemble structure it is obtained, by vibration signals processing, the six rigid body motion laws of the ensemble. Having known the motion laws of the ensemble and the machine perturbation forces then a rheological model of the ballast layer pad can be identified or by a graphical representation of the ensemble vibration motion distribution an undesired fault, as a wrong pad technology applied, can be detected.
