Abstract
The study presented here deals with the restoration of an arched bridge in Central Greece. This stone bridge, built in the XVIII century, with its elegant form is an excellent reminder of the greek architectural heritage. Earthquakes, ageing, floods and unwise interventions caused extended damages to the bridge in the past but no serious attempt of restoration has ever been made. The restoration project, presented in this paper, includes - the pathology of the existing historical bridge - its analysis, considering the dead loads and taking account of seismic actions - the proposals for its repairing and strengthening.
