Abstract
This paper contains some problems concerning renovation and reinforcement of timber beam structures in monumental buildings. It presents reasons of wooden elements destruction and most often ways of repair and reinforcement of beam framed ceilings. Some methods of reinforcing wooden elements include placing polymer composite insertions into wooden section. They can be used in repair and renovation of monumental ceilings.
