Abstract
The influence of the type of masonry construction of traditional buildings on the dynamic behavior of old buildings with masonry walls is the subject of this work. Comparison of the eigenmodes, periods and the participation factors for each mode, permits us to find the relation between the type of masonry and the dynamic, response spectrum analysis. This is an important step to estimate the behavior of the structure due to earthquake loading.
