Abstract

The objective of this study was, in the first place, to characterize and evaluate the state of conservation of the exterior renderings of the historical buildings existing in Parque da Pena. Five buildings were taken as representative examples: Entrance House, House of Lapa, Temple of Columns, Fountain of Birds and Chalet of the Countess. Several samples were collected and subjected to basic laboratorial analysis.
