Abstract
Licensed program package SCORESII-SLAM-PRESS (SSP) of HYDROMECHANICS Inc. (USA) is used to determine ship motions and structural loads for a monohull vessel in a seaway The load responses include both the rigid body and hydroelastic vibratory component due to slamming impacts. Not only resultant loads itself but also the pressure in the course of the slam impact force generation is determined. This information is directly related to the various slam events being simulated, with the results in time history form with proper time sequencing and phase relationship. Determination of design values of total response to the sea action, on the base of the time domain computer simulation, is the main purpose of the project. The so called ,,Design Sea method" is applied, to find out the most dangerous ship operation conditions. The SSP package
