Abstract

The review of container characteristics evolution since late sixties up to nowadays has been conducted. Some signs of stabilisation of general vessel solution concerning last years newbuildings were found. Then the set of ca 60 vessels built in years 1990 - 1996 has been analysed to find the regularities useful for design work.
