Abstract
The problem of non-stationary random vibrations of discretized systems (FEM) with non-proportional damping due to kinematic excitation of seis- mic type has been analyzed. The paper links up with previous results and presents an original solution using a correlation procedure which seems to be the most transparent and effective. The solution based to a major extent on Lyapunov's differential systems makes the numerical evaluation simpler due to posiibility of wide usage of standard libraries of matrix operations. 1 Introduction In relation to engineering and technological structures a seismic event is a typical example of a kinematic non-stationary random excitation. The authors have solved t
