This paper investigates an a posteriori error in- dicator based upon the evaluation of hypersingular equations. Computational experiments were performed for the two dimensional Laplace equation on inte- rior and exterior domains, employing Dirichlet, Neumann, and mixed boundary conditions. The results indicate that the error indicator successfully tracks the form of the exact error curve. Moreover, a reasonable estimate of the magni- tude of the error was also obtained.
