Abstract
Application of the BEM to problems of elastoplasticity and nonlinear soil consolidation M.B. Chopra* & G.F. In the limiting case, when the coupled nature and the quasistatic behavior are ignored, the standard elastoplastic formulation is recovered. Some applications of geomechanics are studied to establish its utility for practical analysis. These include problems of quasistatic triaxial testing and drained collapse of circular footing on a half space.
