Abstract

Tytyk& Branch^ Poland CemZre o/ ABSTRACT An application of the pattern recognition procedure to the calculation of gear teeth profile deviations and to recognition of their character is presented in this paper. Computer program was tested on measurement results of the tens cylindrical gears. INTRODUCTION Tooth profile is one of the more important parameters decisive of the tooth gears accuracy. International Standards ISO [1-3] use a few profile deviations to estimation accuracy of gears production. The simplest way of estimation is assignment the total profile deviation F^. More detailed approach favours the profile form deviation^ and the profile slope deviation /^. The third possibility is application the so-called K-graph, i.e. a check, if measured profile is situated between two design profiles. Form of the tooth profile is of importance from a utilization
