Abstract
Nonlinear modeling of a railway pantograph for high speed running G. Galeotti", P. Toni^ Go^eo, Camp Firevize, ABSTRACT High speed running in Italian Railway has been recently developed. One of the main problems to be solved for a good high speed running is the current pick-up with a pantograph from an overhead contact line. Several models of the pantograph have been developed, some of these do not include nonlinearity effects. In order to validate this choice a nonlinear lumped model of the pantograph was pointed out. This model include Coulomb friction, variable stiffness and damping, stop for the mass displacements. This paper has been realized under contribution of C.N.R. PFT2 (Piano Finalizzato Trasporti 2).
