Abstract
Theoretical and experimental study about the dynamics of generically variable open thin section beam M. Pasquino Dip. Ing. Civile, Fac. di Ingegneria, Universitd di Reggio Calabria, Italy ABSTRACT Some theoretical and experimental results are proposed about the dynamics of the generally variable open thin section beam The effect of the variability of the section on the position of the shear-center through the values of the frequency vibration of a simple beam are confirmed. The modal analysis is formulated using the Lagrangian method through the usual matrix methods used in the structural analysis; while the experimental analysis follows the SIFRF method. The input-output signals supplied the degree of the real vibration frequencies. Also in this case,a support of the general varied theory proposed can be found. Furthemore it can be tested how important the position of constraints are not only to evaluate the twisting moments, but also the real vibration patterns. INTRODU
