Abstract
Modeling of a large scale evaporator with moving phase boundaries F. ~hnert', J. F. Fast load changes correspond to a rapid movement of the evaporation region. This paper describes the development and implementation of a model, which takes into account the influence of radiation and convection on the gas side as well as the averaged steam quality distribution inside the pipes. The time dependant model is one-dimensional and it is discretized with a staggered grid for higher numerical stability. The model is implemented in the program Aspen Custom Modeler (ACM). 1 Introduction Dynamic models are gaining more
