Abstract
Nonlinear BEM analysis by an alternative scheme: computing point method N. Karniya & T. Hashizume Graduate School of Information Science, Nagoya University, Japan Abstract The applicability of the 'boundary-type numerical analysis scheme' to some of the nonlinear andlor inhomogeneous problems governed by complicated differential operators is considered in this paper. The differential equations may not have a linear differential operator as the principal part but a complicated differential operator multiplied by unknown function or functions in terms of the coordinates. In these cases ordinary schemes, either finite elements or boundary elements, cannot deal with them easily and efficiently. The Computing Point Analysis (CPA) scheme in the Boundary Element Method proposed earlier by one of the present authors in order to get a solution by boundary discretization alone is therefore applied. Starting from an elementary examination, we will discuss the application of CPA to the above mentioned prob
