Abstract
On the fundamental solution to perform the dynamic analysis of Reissner-Mindlin's plates L, Palermo Jr. Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Campinas, Brazil Abstract The dynamic analysis of plates can be carried out using the static or the dynamic fundamental solutions. This paper concerns on the study of the frequency domain solution for plate bending considering the shear deformation and the rotatory inertia effects. The wave propagation features pointed out by Mindlin are remembered and the fundamental solution is obtained without requiring a limit for angular frequencies. The frequency domain equations are written using the same parameter related to the shear deformation effect used in the static analysis. This strategy allows the evaluation of the shear parameter on the dynamic behavior considering the boundary and loading conditions in order to establish connections with the static behavior. A solution according to the classical plate theory can be obtained from the presented sol
