Abstract
Solution of Poisson equation by Trefftz method and computing point analysis scheme E. Kita, E. Okuno, Y. Ikeda & N. Kamiya School of Informatics and Sciences Nagoya University, Nagoya 464-831 0, Japan Abstract This pa.per describes the application of Trefftz method to the boundaryvalue problem governed with Poisson equation. An inhomogeneous term containing an unknown function and it derivatives is approximated by the polynomia.1 in the Cartesian coordinates to derive the particular solutions. The bounda.ry-value problem of the Poisson equation is transformed into that of the Laplace equa.tion by introducing the particular solution. The particular solution includes unknown parameters, which are determined so that the a.pproximate equation is saiisfied at collocation points placed on boundary and in domain by means of the collocation method.
