Abstract Several advantages of using a Boundary Element Method (BEM) in analyzing productivity performance for an oil reservoir includes it gives a better representation of a problem due to its ability to handle complex boundary conditions and geometries, it requires relatively small amount of data input as the dimensionality of the problem is reduced by one and it gives more accurate results due to the elimination of grid orientations effects. One of the most important factor that affect the result of the BEM simulation study is the number of boundary element assigned in the domain of the problem. Using a very small number of elements on the boundary will result in a very optimistic output especially in terms
