Abstract
The mine electrical prospecting is executed in underground roadway. It is a useful tool to detect the microstructures in a coal seam and the aquifers in its roof or floor. The distribution law of direct current (DC) field in layered surrounding rocks of roadways is the theoretical foundation of mine electrical prospecting. By choosing the whole-space electric potential function in layered media as a basic solution, a new algorithm for modeling coal seam sounding curves is proposed. By substituting the basic solution for the area-integral items on the infinite interfaces between layers, it makes the computing procedure be much simplified. The results show that the roadway has some influences on coal seam sounding curves and the influencing factors are geometrical size of
