Abstract
This paper describes the shape optimization scheme of the two-dimensional elastic structures using TVefftz method. In the Trefftz method, physical quantities such as the stress, the strain and the displacement components are approximated by the superposition of the related T-complete functions with unknown parameters. Since the T-complete functions are regular, direct differentiation of the quantities with respect to the design variables leads to the design sensitivities. Sequential linear programming scheme using the sensitivity analysis scheme is applied to the shape optimization of the two-dimensional structures. 1 Introduction Shape optimization problem of the structures is solved by using the finite or boundary element method.
