Abstract
The boundary element method is applied to analysis of oblique incident waves against submerged breakwaters where the small amplitude motion of waves are assumed. The potential function of the fluid motion and the Helmholtz equation for the unknown function are introduced by Ijima, Yoshida & Kitayama [1]. We derive the boundary element method to analyze the complex solution for the Helmholtz equation of this type. It is necessary to reveal the effect of the angle of incidence and reflection, since most of waves are observed obliquely incident and reflected on breakwaters in coastal zones. Numerical results for some examples are given to examine the ef
