Abstract
In this work a time-domain BEM formulation is developed for two-dimensional elastodynamic analysis. Linear time variation is assumed for both displacements and tractions. Tractions time discontinuities are taken into account by coupling to the standard (displacement) integral equation the integral equation for velocities. Integral equations are presented by employing the concept of finite part of integrals and time integration of boundary kernels is carried out analytically. Two numerical examples are presented in order to assess the accuracy of the proposed formulation. 1 Introduction The present work in concerned with the development of a TD-BEM (TD: time- domain) formulati
