Abstract
In this paper a comparison of numerical efficiency is made between (a) the direct numerical method of evaluating the boundary limits of the strongly singular integrals based on Euler's transformation technique and (b) the traditional rigid-body-motion method of indirectly finding the singular in- tegrals, in two dimensional elestostatics. Convergence aspects of the former method with increasing number of terms in the Euler sum function is stud- ied. Example calculations employing the methods are presented for circular boundaries. 1. Introduction The development of the boundary element method for 2-D elestostatic anal- ysis is b
