Abstract
Direct implementation of analytical influence functions for higher order stress and displacement discontinuity boundary elements in computer codes does not permit us to produce accurate calculation results at points distant from the elements. The loss of the accuracy is dealing with specific types of the influence functions for higher order elements. This accuracy problem is discussed and solved herein. Accurate results can be produced if Taylor series approximations for the functions are used instead of the functions themselves when calculations at the distant points are conducted. 1 Introduction Analytical influence functions, that permit us to determine stresses and displacements at an arbitrary points
