Abstract
In this paper, we extend our previous work on,the generalized boundary integral equation (BEB) formulation for heat conduction in media with spatially varying thermal conductivity to formulate a generalized boundary integral equation for axisymmetric heat conduction in such media. The kernels of the integral equation do not contain elliptic integrals encountered in traditional BEM formulation in which Dirac Delta forcing functions are used to drive the axisymmetric adjoint equation. The resulting integral equation is implemented in a BEM code. Numerical examples are presented to validate the formulation. Quadratic elements are used and hollow
