Abstract
This paper introduces a modification to the fundamental solution for boundary element analysis of thick plates on Winkler foundation, which leads to the elimination of most singular terms, and the resulting boundary integral equations can be analysed with source points on the actual boundary. Fundamental solution parameters with complex arguments have been integrated analytically over constant elements which contain the source points, and ordinary Gaussian quadrature is employed with other integral expressions.
