Abstract
The acoustic behavior of dynamic excited energy absorbing elements mostly is described with means of vibration theory. In terms of high frequency excitation like impact, additional phenomena like wave propagation have to be considered. To determine the structure borne sound transmission of energy absorbing elements mostly insitu testing is conducted in the way of mechanical point by point measurement methods, which only allow the observation of single structural points. Analyzing energy distribution of structures with these measurement methods could be very cumbersome, while numerical simulation combined with optical full field methods for verification could provide much more information and allows extended parameter
